Inside every woman is a superhero. To celebrate this, we are amplifying our artist community and giving you an inside look into their creative processes. We’re highlighting photographers, directors, sculptors, painters, and so many other creatives to show you how they wear The Artist while creating their work.
We sat down with Siena Evans, visual designer & installation artist, to learn more about her process and what it means to her to be an artist.
What type of art medium do you work with?
I am a visual designer & installation artist. I create dried floral wall art, arrangements, and hanging installations.
What does it mean to you to be an artist?
To be an artist is to let your creative outlet run wild! It's the truest form to express yourself and unlock whatever vision is bubbling in your head and let it take form.
What has your art taught you?
My art has taught me to be transformative, but stay true to my roots as a designer.
Where did you creative interest stem from?
I started creating my art as an outlet to let my creativity run free. With a love of nature and design, my art stays true to its elements. All pieces are made one-of-a-kind, due to Mother Nature. It's what makes each piece, arrangement, and installation, unique and special to any environment.
What is your favorite part of creating?
My favorite part of creating is that it gives me a break from my day-to-day tasks. It's the one time I can meditate creatively without any limitations.
